My name is Reshita Suresh, my son date of birth is 31/05/2012. When he start the LKG,UKG & 1st class. What is the right age for these class, in CBSE syllabus.

Right age for LKG, UKG and 1st class as per CBSE:-

Age limit for LKG is 3 years 6 month to 4 years 6 months.

Age limit for UKG is 4 years 6 month to 5 years 6 months.

Age limit for first class is 5 years 6 months to 6 years 10 months.

As per the guidelines of the central board of secondary education (CBSE), the correct age of the student should be between 3 years 6 months to 4 years 10 months to get admission in LKG.

°°° Earlier the age limit for admission to LKG was three years 6 months as on 1st June of that year and for UKG it was four years 6 months and for 1st standard it was five years and 6 months but to the rules has been revised again.
Now, the age limit for LKG is 3 years 10 months and for UKG it is 4 years 10 months and for 1st standard it is 5 years 10 months as on 1st June of the year of admission.

CBSE has not fixed any minimum/ maximum age limit to get admission in LKG, UKG or std 1 or in a CBSE affiliated school.

It is the onus of the state government or UT where the school is situated to determine the same. So, visit the school or concerned state education department to get the detail information.

Hello,4 years old child is suitable for classLKG, 5 years old child is suitable for class UKG. 6 years old child is suitable for class 1.Best of luck & take care🙂😊☺

There are no particular rules for age in CBSE but we must follow the age criteria:-
Nursery- 2+
LKG - 3+
UKG - 4+
CLASS 1 - 5+.

My son age 23-11-2016 now he is studying in ukg this is correct age or not

1. The age limit for admission to LKG is 3 years 6 months as of 30th June of the year in which you are admitting the student.
2. For admission to UKG, the age limit is 4 years 6 months as of 30th June of the year

Now my daughter age is 3.8 she eligible for LKG

My son date of birth 28/01/2018, which class suitable

My Daughter is 3.5 years old. ( DOB- 05/09/2018)
She is in Junior class. do i need to repeat her junior as per new rules ?
