My son's DOB is 16 April 2014 while going to first class he would not be 6 years in age in 2020, as he would be requiring 16 more days. My question is, would my son be missing his class first for entire year just, because of 16 days, so as to attain the age of 6 years.

The age criteria required to get admission in first standard in most of the schools is 5 years 6 months. So, if your son attains the age of 5 years 6 months by 31st March 2020, he is eligible to get admission for pursuing first standard. So, you need not worry that your son won't the entire year due to his age as he is in right age for pursuing first standard in 2020.

First thing I would like to let you know is that the minimum age requirement for admission in any class is such that the age of student should not lie under 14 years and 6 months by the 31st March of that year in which the student is going to appear in his/her Class 10th board examination.

So as far you are concerned about admission of your son in Class 1 in 2020 which implies that he will appear in his Class 10th board examination in March 2031 and by this time he will be around 17 years which is as per the age criteria mentioned above. Therefore your son is eligible for admission in Class 1 in 2020 for sure having born on 16th April 2020.
