Yes, you can definitely take training from the IITs during your summer or winter vacation. But for that you need to fulfill certain criteria and preference will always be given to the IITians and NITians. Since you are from state government college so you need to have excellent academic record. Having some research work experience or work experience will definitely boost your demand.

You need to apply through the application form which can be availed from the official website of IITs whenever the advertisements of such training are made (usually two months before the vacations). You need to send the concerned application form along with your resume, essential documents and NOC letter from your college to the concerned IITs.

All the IITs have provision of academic training especially the old ones like IIT Kharagpur, IIT Mumbai, IIT Delhi, IIT Chennai, IIT Kanpur have provisions of a wide variety of training courses and research opportunities. Other IITs like IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Hyderabad are also coming up with wide number of training opportunities.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
