sir,i want to do PhD in microbiology after completing M.Sc so, i want know that how many universities are their in INDIA which offers PhD without taking entrance exam and also giving an good scholarship.

Most of the universities give admission based on merit and there is an entrance exam conducted by most of the universities. If you can qualify exams like NET/SET/GATE/ICMR/JRF, then you will be exempted from entrance exam. Also, those who have M.Phil qualification are exempted from entrance exam stage.

Even if there is no entrance exam, then also you have to face interview stage. For admission at reputed university, you need to have good academic record with performance in interview.
