PhD in Theoretical Physics is possible after MA in Mathematics?


Can i do phd in theoretical physics after MA in mathematics from delhi university? Tell me is my course of choice phd in theoretical physics possible?

No, you can't apply for Ph.D in theoretical physics based on maths degree.
You need a M.Phil degree in Physics or a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% or an equivalent grade from a university or a recognized institution of higher learning.

The candidate should also have qualified a national level test like NET/SLET/CSIR/UGC tests for JRF/JEST/ GATE, etc, are preferred for admission.
