I am a 3rd year student doind my B.E DEGREE in KSR college of technology..
i need to know how to get started with the preparation for the campus interview? pls guide me.....

MNCs recruit candidates by testing them in four rounds as,

• Written Test.
• Technical Round.
• Group Discussion and
• HR Interview.

Written Test:

In this round, you will be given a paper and you are supposed to answer them in time. Prepare the following topics for written test.

• Quantitative Aptitude.
• Logical Reasoning.
• English Comprehension.
• Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning.

Technical Round:

In this round, you will be tested in your core subjects. Be prepared with your core subjects and try to answer most of the technical questions. Cover all technical subjects from 1st year to final year.

Group Discussion:

In this round, candidates are divided in to groups and are given a topic. Each group has to support their statements. Prepare well with some sample topics daily and try to speak out yourself. Also know about some trending topics.

HR Interview:

In this round, you will be tested in,

• Problem Solving Skills.
• Time Management Skills.
• Logical Thinking.
• How do you handle situations when you are under pressure?

Here are some interview questions,

• What extracurricular activities were you involved in?
• What activities did you enjoy the most?
• What did you learn from your summer jobs?
• In what courses did you get the worst grades? Why?
• Tell me about a deadline you had to meet. How much advance notice did you have?
• You have worked in a fast paced environment. How did you like the environment?
• What kinds of decisions are most difficult for you?
• What is the most difficult work situation you have faced?
• Are your grades a good measure of your ability?
• Give me an example of a problem you've had at school and how you solved it.

Tips to prepare for interview:

• Know your resume very well.
• Be ready to answer about anything asked which you have mentioned in resume.
• Prepare more and more mock interviews.
• Make an eye contact with the interviewer.
• Do not argue with the interviewer.
• Maintain grooming standards before going for an interview.
•Know about the company and role you have applied for beforehand.

Tips for preparation of Campus Interview :-

1/ Since you are in third year, so you must make use of the ample time you have.
2/ First of all, prepare your domain properly. Keep atleast 2 subjects as your strong points in your domain.
3/ Start practicing Aptitude. Start off with RS Agarwal Quantitative Aptitude and then go to tougher books.
4/ Technical skill is a must, hence brush up your technical skills especially programming and basics of C, C++, DBMS.
5/ Improve your communication skills and your English grammar. Read newspapers and be updated with the happenings of the world.
6/ Believe in yourself and do not get nervous, be confident.

Here are some important things which should be prepared:

1. create multiple versions of CV's for different roles that you are interested in. Be ready to answer standard questions on each sentence in your CV.

2. Do practice for written test as aptitude or technical.

3. Must be ready for GD round and for this you need fact and awareness. Read newspapers, magazines and watch news for knowing the world around you.

4. Solve papers completely (especially those of companies planning to visit your campus). you can also search company profile as Knowing the company and industry, adds credibility.

5. In last your appearance, your formal dress-up, eye contact with the interviewer, right posture while sitting on a chair and keep smile on your face at the time of campus interview.
