NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted twice time in year by UGC. Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree. Age criteria for NET exam:- For JRF Post :-Your age should be below 28 years. For Lectureship Post :-There is no age criteria. |

NET examination is conducted by the UGC for the lectureship or an Award for Junior research fellowship (JRF). If you are interested in National Eligibility test to become lecturer in any colleges or interested to do research in your post graduate related subject, then you have to appear for this test and scored good marks in each paper. On the basis of marks and cut off, you are awarded for Junior research fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship both or only for lectureship. Any Post graduate aspirant who scored more than 55% marks in post graduation are eligible for this test. This test is now conducted by CBSE on the behalf of UGC. The pattern and syllabus are same, you can check the official website to get the syllabus and pattern. The test is conducted in June and December every year. You have to appear for 3 individual papers in NET entrance. You can register for this entrance test directly from the official website. You have to choose one subject exactly match with your post graduate subject. If in case subject is not available in NET list, then you can choose related subject. |
