You should have at least 55% marks in your M.Sc Botany to become eligible for any Ph.D admission in India. Age is not mentioned anywhere for Ph.D admission and you can pursue it if you can get admission without worrying about your age.

You have experience of being a teacher which will help you during admission because those who are having at least 5 years of professional experience in given field are eligible for admission without any entrance exam. All you have to do is apply for the interview state when notification is released by the University or Institute.

You can get admission in following colleges in Kolkata

1. Calcutta University, http://botany.caluniv.in/

2. Bethune College, http://www.bethunecollege.ac.in

3. IISER Kolkata, http://www.iiserkol.ac.in

4. University of Kalyani, http://www.klyuniv.ac.in

5. Presidency University, http://www.presiuniv.ac.in
