Can I study Regular MCA if pursuing Distance BCA after completing Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science course?


Respected Sir/Madam,
My daughter is doing my BCA from Alagappa University in distance mode after completed her 3 years Regular Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science course. She got Lateral Entry into BCA. So my BCA degree is 10+3 years Polytechnic Diploma then 2 years BCA. I want to know that she is eligible for Regular MCA course or not?

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for MCA through regular mode after completing BCA through distance mode. It is mandatory, you must complete Graduation through regular university to be eligible for MCA through regular university. However, you can do MCA through distance mode mode.

You must have Three years Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics subject from a reputed university or college. Most of the MCA colleges may conduct their own admission test within the college. It is a Three years years regular course (MCA).
