Whether a candidate will be considered failed if scored 43% in overall marks but failed in Science and Mathematics subjects?


Hello,
I have scored 43% marks in 10th of ICSE. But, fail in Science and Mathematics. So, what will be result? Am I consider as fail?

Yes, the candidate who had scored 43% aggregate marks overall but, failed in Mathematics and Science subjects are not considered as qualified. Even if the candidate has failed in one subject, the result will be declared as failed. You can appear in Supplementary examinations to qualify the failed subjects, so, that you are eligible to apply for admission to pursue your higher studies.

No, he will not be considered as a failed candidate after having scored 43% marks over all but not being able to clear Science and Mathematics subjects. The minimum eligibility criteria in order to be able to pass in 10th board examination is that a candidate should have passed in English, 2nd language and other 3 subjects.

Therefore, as per your information, you have very much cleared the board examination.
