I want to know about the age limit for women candidate for being Teacher. My age is 34 years and from General Category. Is there any relaxation for women candidates?

Maximum age limit or general category female candidates for teacher job in Odisha:

Minimum age required for this requirement is 18 years and the maximum age limit not exceed 35 years to be eligible. Of course there will be an age relaxation for reserved category.

For general candidate:

Minimum age 18 years.
Maximum age 35 years.
There is no age relaxation.

For woman candidates:

Relaxation of 5 years applicable.

So maximum age for you will be 40 years for this requirement.

Selection procedure:

The candidate will be selected through written test, educational career.

The candidate can apply online for the post.

Let me tell you that you must have a degree of B.Ed to be a government teacher.
There is no upper age limit required but you are eligible to apply at the age of 57 or 58 years.

Age limit – Job Applicants who are applying for the post must be within the age limit of 18 to 35 years as on 01 January 2016. Age relaxation for the reserved category is as following –

SC/ST/Woman/ Ex-Serviceman/SEBC – 05 years

PH Candidates – 10 years
