I am a Madhyamik i.e. 10th candidate. I want to be a Fashion Designer. So after Madhyamik in which stream I should join for my 12th? If Science, than what combination of subjects should I opt for?

Candidates from all discipline are eligible for Fashion Designing course. You can select any stream in standard 12th to become eligible for Bachelor of Fashion Designing course. In case of Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology, mathematics and physics are necessary in standard 12th.

You can apply for National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam for admission in reputed fashion designing institutes of India.

If you want to pursue fashion designing course after 12th then the required minimum qualification is :

B.Des - Candidate must have passed 12th in any discipline.

B.F.Tech - Candidate must have passed 12th in PCM as main paper.

So, you are can select your stream as according to your choice. The entrance examination is conducted by various institutes for admission in the course.

1. You can join Science stream with either PCM or PCB subjects. Both subject group candidates are eligible for Bachelor of Fashion Designing course.

2. The name of entrance examination is National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam.

You can apply for NIFT exam after 12th and crack it and secure good rank for admission in good colleges of Fashion designing.

To pursue Fashion Designing course in future, you have to take Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th standard with science stream.

You can also take commerce stream in 12th standard to do Fashion Designing in future.

As you want to become a Fashion Designer you can join Arts stream and can take fashion designing course at 12th class as one of your subject. After class 12th you can opt for Higher studies in Fashion Designing.

After completion of class 12th you have to appear in the entrance exam like NIFT, SOFT, etc to get admission in top colleges.

2. In case of Bachelor of Fashion Technology, mathematics and Physics is necessary. You can apply for NIFT exam in year in which you apply for the exam of board.
