Entrance exam available to study PhD(Library & Information Science) in Gauhati University?
Hello everyone, I want to do PhD in Library & Information Science from Gauhati University. Can you please let me know which entrance exam I have to appear so that I can get admission for this PhD course in this institute. Please tell me asap.

The students who are interested to get admission in PhD has to clear GU-RET exam. The students shortlisted in the exam have to attend interview which finalises the admission of the candidates.GU-RET exam can be exempted for applicants who are already recipient of UGC-JRF, CSIR-JRF, ICMR-JRF, ICAR-JRF, DBT-JRF. But the admission through GU-RET exempted applicants is limited to 50% of the total applicants in any discipline therefore any candidate who could not get seat out of 50% of seats may have to appear for GU-RET exam.
