Default Re: Candidates of Intermediate private are allowed to apply for NDA exam or not?

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and to join the same one is required to qualify NDA examination which is held twice every year by UPSC.

Further, the appearing in the same examination, the minimum education required is a regular higher secondary school degree i.e; Class 12th in any discipline from a recognised board of education.

So, having completed your Class 12th in private mode i.e; through open schooling, you are not eligible to apply for NDA entrance examination as for the same examination, candidates having completed their Class 12th through open schooling or having opted for diploma courses are not eligible.

For more details regarding NDA examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in
