Hi, I am a female candidate and want to know whether female candidates are allowed to join Merchant Navy or not? If yes, then what should be the minimum educational qualification? In which stream or in which branch? Apart from education what are the other criteria to be fulfilled by female candidates in order to join Merchant Navy?

Female candidates can join Merchant Navy after completion of there ten plus two with science(PCM) stream with minimum 60%.

Only unmarried female candidates are allowed.

To get admission in Merchant Navy course you have to qualify the entrance test known as IMU.
