hai buddy..
Well the Basic Difference In Both These Courses are,
MS is Masters of science and Mtech is Masters of Technology.
The M.Tech course is a More Detailed Course with a lot of Study in it. Under the M.Tech degree, one has to Attend Regular classes in order to gain knowledge about the Subject.

In M.Tech course duration is 2 years You Are Just doing 1 year project but not reserch oriented project But In M.S the course duration from 2-4 years but it is purely reserch oriented.

all the best..

Dear friend....!!!!

-> M.tech is masters in technology that is done after b.tech(bachelor of technology).

-> M.TECH is of 2 years after graduation and one should do take more knowledge about the technology.

->MS is masters in science that is done after Bsc (bachelor in science)

->For M.tech you have to give the entrance test i.e GATE ,if you want to continue your M.tech in india.

->And you have to give the entrance test of GRE ,if you want to continue your M.tech in abroad.

As per my knowledge MS in USA and m.tech in India both M.Tech and MS are equivalent programs, there is hardly any difference between them.
M.Tech more technical and professional than ms.
To do M.Tech from India you would have to take the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers (GATE). I will suggest you to do M.Tech.
MS gives u exposure to global platform in engineering and you can to work & settle in abroad for this you would require GRE and IELTS/ TOEFL score as an International applicant.
best luck!

HI

M.S is Master in Science
You need to appear for GRE ( Graduate Record Exam) and TOEFL to go for M.S
The better you score in GRE, the better college/university you will get.
Once you get good marks in GRE, you can choose amongst the various option available for admission. So better the score, more option you have. You may get good scholarship as well depending on your profile and college.

M.tech is Masters in Technology
You need to appear for GATE exam in order the get admission in M.Tech.
Best college are IIT and top NIT.

All the best

M.Tech is a kind of regular course where you sit in a classroom and listen to the lectures.
