Dear Friend

The time to do some course depends on the degree you are intended for in that
particular field.

As you mentioned space engineering there is no course namely in such manner.

If you meant AEROSPACE ENGINEERING;
The B.E./B.Tech. course in aerospace engineering use to be of four years.
12th pass student are eligible for the course.
The M.Tech. degree in this field is of two years duration.

Apart from engineering there are courses in Astrophysics and Avionics.
You can pursue B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Astrophysics/Avionics.

Some institution may offer 5 year Integrated M.Sc. course for 12th pass students.

If you are projecting your career in this field then you should try to get admission
in IIST Tiruvanantpuram or some IIT(Bombay, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras).

Every year IIST conducts entrance exam for admission in Aerospace Engineering
and Avionics. The entrance exam is named ISAT.

Every year IITs conduct Joint Entrance Examination for admission to all of its campuses.
visit: www.iitb.ac.in

Please visit the websites for details regarding the entrance exams.

hi friend,

Beginning aerospace engineers need at least a bachelor's degree in engineering. Degree holders in mathematics or the natural sciences may qualify for certain jobs. It usually takes four or five years to earn a bachelor's degree in engineering. A number of colleges offer undergraduate majors in aeronautical, astronautical, or aerospace engineering. Some jobs also require an advanced degree. Aerospace engineers must continue to study the latest developments in the field throughout their careers.
