hello!
according to last year statistics, i am getting a seat in chemical and metallurgy in nit warangal......can i have an opportunity of getting a seat in any other top branch like cse....?is it advisable to join the colge with the hope of getting shifted to cse after the counsellings...?

This process is called sliding, which depends on the percentage you score in the first year of engineering.

You need to have a minimum marks for sliding which are called the cutoff marks.

And, Getting a seat in a college for any course is subject to the score if it is par the cutoff or not.

And, no one can determine the actual cutoff marks or rank before the result comes out.

it solely depends upon the following factors :

* The demand of the course.
* The number of seats available.
* The number of applications came for the course.

So, you will know it once you apply for the sliding process.
