what % of mark required to get addmition in b-tech degree cource

the percentage of marks requirement for taking admission in B.Tech degree course is different for different university. this percentage is checked from 12th board marks. you should maintain your percentage not only in overall marks but also in mathematics, english and in overall PCM marks.


generally for most of the university the criterion is you should have minimum of 40% to 45% marks in overall and in mathematics and in PCM is required to take admission in B.Tech degree course. for reserved candidates the percentage varies from 35% to 40% according to the university.

if you have very low percentage and you are worrying about admission in B.Tech then contact with the institution where you want to take admission or contact in the university under which you want to take admission they will provide you the exact criterion for taking admission in B.Tech according to that particular university under which the college is approved.

For that you have to appear in entrance exams like-

1.IIT-JEE

2.AIEEE
etc..

After qualifying in any of these exam you will get a chance to take admission in B.tech course..
Eligibility for IIT-JEE:-

*The candidate must have 60% marks in 12th with science(PCM)..
*The candidate can also appear in this exam during the year of appearing in 12th board exam..
*The candidate can appear in IIT-JEE exam maximum two times in a consecutive manner.

Eligibility for AIEEE:-

*The candidate must have 50% aggregate in 12th with science(PCM).
*The candidate can appear in AIEEE exam during the year of appearing iin 12th board exam..
*The candidate can appear in AIEEE maximum two times in a consecutive manner.

These are the criteria you have to fulfill..

A pass in the higher secondary examination of any universities of respective state or examinations considered equivalent there to with mathematics, physics and chemistry as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in mathematics only and 50% marks in mathematics, physics chemistry put together. For sebc catogary whose income is below the income limit notified by the govt., the percent of marks will be 45%.

a diploma in engineering awarded by respective states or examination considered equivalent there to by the state board of technical education after undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years, securing a cumulativeâ minimum of 50% marks in the ii & iii year diploma examination. University regulations revised from time to time will be implemented.

you have not mention where you want to take admission.

if you want to take admission in IITs then you have to get minimum 60% marks in 12th.

but if you want to take other institute apart from IITs then you have to get minimum 50% marks in 12th.

to take admission in B.Tech degree course, you can give given below entrance teat

>>WBJEE.

>>PTU.

ELIGIBILITY FOR B-TECH COURSE

The eligibility criteria for B-TECH admission:-

1. You must be passed 12th or its equivalent with 50% aggregate marks.

2. The 12th or its equivalent must be from a recognized board of examination under the state or the central gov scheme.

If you have above 45% marks in 12th also you are eligible for some institute.

But in 12th , you must have Math , Physics and Chemistry subject.

Your age must be above 17 years.

Also you have qualify state level entrance exam or Indian level entrance exam.

You need to pass you class 12 with physics, chemistry and maths (Non medical) with at least 50% marks to get admission in B.Tech degree course which is basically an engineering course.

if you are planning on doing b.tech for any renowned university you need to 60% and above.the cut offs vary every year so the only option is to study hard

The basic eligibility requirement for admissions to any BTech program is 60% Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 exam from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. They must also have secured minimum aggregate marks of 60% in the above subjects combined. Then only you get admission to good colleges otherwise in 45% also you can get admission to the B.Tech degree course.
