To join Indian Navy you can appear in the upcoming NDA examination.The examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year in the form of NDA-I examination and NDA-II examination.The examination is held to take admission in the Air forec Wing,Naval Wing and Army wing of NDA.

The educational qualification required to apply for the Air Force and Navy of NDA is that the candidate should has passed class 12th with 60% marks and subject combination Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics.
For Army any stream candidate can apply.

The age limit criteria for the NDA examination is that the candidate should be between 16.5 years to 19 years of age.

Only unmarried male candidate are eligible to apply.

To join Indian Navy after completing 12th science you have need following eligibility:

Educational Qualification:
Class 12 or 10+2 with PCM and also need 50% of marks.

The examination is conducted twice in a year of March-April & Oct-Nov And the notification will be held in January and July.

Hello friend,
Since you have completed your +2 with Science, you may apply for the NDA exam conducted by the union public service commission, twice a year.
To be eligible for the exam, you must have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not be over 19 years.
You must have studied Physics and Mathematics as the major subjects in your +2 level to be eligible for the naval wing of the National Defense Academy.

(For Navy and Air Force)-
*High school with PCM,aggregate should be 55% or equivalent.
*Age limit-16.5-19 yr.
NDA conducte by UPSC twice in a year. ~NDA 'I' will be held on 15 april 2012.
~Notification will be Released on-31 December 2011.
~Last date for submisson of Application form is-30 January 2012.
*Acceptable height (Only for Male Applicants)-157.5 cm
Exam will conducts in two phase i.e.-
1)Written.
2)Interview.

In order to join Indian Navy after 12th with Science, You have to appear for NDA- NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted twice every year by UPSC as NDA-I and NDA-II.

For Naval wing of NDA you should either complete 12th with 60% marks having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The final year appearing 12th student can also apply for NDA.

Age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years with a height of atleast 157.5cm

There are two phases of selection for NDA:-

Written Test and Interview which is based on Basic Mathematics, General English and General Knowledge.

:: PROCEDURE FOR JOINING THE INDIAN NAVY ::

Indian Navy recruits candidates through the NDA exam which it conducted by UPSC every year.

NDA stand for NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam ::

1. A candidate must be between the age 16.5 and 19 years.
2. Only unmarried male candidates can apply.
3. He should have passed his 10+2 HS from a recognized state board or school with a minimum 50% aggregate.
4. Maths is compulsory subject if applying for Naval or Air Force Wings.
5. He should be physically fit.

Procedure :

NDA exam questions you on the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from the elementary school level.

General Awareness Questions are also asked, history , Current Affairs etc.

Once you clear the exam, you would get a call for the SSB interview.
The next step would be the physical test which is also very important. You have to be physically very fit in order to clear it.
Special requirements are set in terms of height and eye sight standards for the candidates applying for the Naval and Air Force Wings.

On successful completion and clearance of this PT, you would have to go through a Group Discussion Round, and finally the Personal Interview.

And then after a years training at the IMA, in Dehradun you would be a part of Indian Defense.

Career in Merchant Navy can be pursued either as an officer or a rating in mainly two specialized fields, i.e. Marine Engineering and Nautical (deck).

you are a class 10th passed student. If it is so then you can join merchent navy as rating officer & following courses are available to you:

4 month Pre-Sea Course for General Purpose (GP) rating.

3 month Pre-Sea Course for Deck rating.

3 month Pre-Sea Course for Engine rating.

After 12th Indian navy can be joined through cracking NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entray in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

The eligible candidate aspiring to join Indian navy of NDA, must be an unmarried Indian Male candidate having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised University within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.
