Hello, i want to know , how can i join indian airforce. I want to work in technical branch of airforce.
I am persuing b.e. In computer scioence and engg. Branch
is there any possibilities to work in technical department of airforce for computer science and engg stream?

For B.Tech. students there are two ways of joining Technical Branch of Indian Air Force.

1. Direct Entry Scheme
You can apply for IAF through DES during final year of B.Tech. or after completion
of B.Tech.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
18-25 years (Unmarried)
18-28 years (Married)
Gender: Men and Women.

2. University Entry Scheme
You can apply for IAF through UES during pre final year of B.Tech. only.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
18-25 years (Unmarried)
18-28 years (Married)
Gender: Men and Women.

The advertisement for the exams are published on IAF career webiste and in
Employment News.

My friend you want to join in technical field of India Air force then you have to appear in UES exam..

Through UES exam you can join in technical branch of air force.

Eligibility for UES exam:-

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field with 60% aggregate.

2.Candidates age should be in between 18-28 years.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill to appear in UES exam.

As you have done BE course in CSE branch then you are eligible for it.

Yes , You are eligible for Indian Air Force exam through CDSE , UES Exam .This exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAM(CDSE)

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Those candidate are completed graduation are eligible for CDSE exam but 12 standard subject must be Math and Physics.

B-TECH ans BE student are also eligible for this exam .But you have not any Pending Backlog.

Final Year student are also eligible for CDSE exam.There is no percentage marks criteria.

AGE CRITERIA

Indian Military Academy - 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy - 19-23 Years
Naval Academy - 19-22 Years
Officer's Training Academy - 19-25 Years


MARITAL STATUS

Only Unmarried persons are eligible

NATIONALITY

You must have citizenship from India.

GENDER

Only male candidate are eligible.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION FOR CDS 2012

Indian Military Academy / Naval Academy / Air Force Academy
All the papers are of objective type.
English =>100 marks
General Knowledge=>100 Marks
Elementary Mathematics=>100 Marks

Officer's Training Academy
All the papers are of objective type.
English=>100 Marks
General Knowledge=>100 Marks

UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME ( UES)

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

he candidate must be currently studying in Pre-final year of BE / B Tech degree course in the relevant streams of engineering as mentioned above and must have secured minimum of 60% marks in aggregate .

But you have not any Pending Backlog.

Your age should be in between 18 to 28 years.

hey hi my self amrutha bapat...i'am a third year engineering student of computer science and engineering having 61% aggregate without backlogs..could you please guide me for applying for technical branch of an indian air force
