You can’t join B.Tech degree without clearing back papers in diploma course. Diploma is considered equivalent to intermediate. After clearing backlog, you can join engineering degree through lateral entry scheme. By this scheme, you have the provision to get directly in to the second year of engineering. Lateral entry admissions are carried out on the basis of the marks obtained in lateral entry entrance exams (carried out by the concerned University that offers the course).

No, with a backlog in the diploma you can not join the B.Tech course. i advise you to first clear your all backlog in the diploma course and then you can join the B.Tech course.

After completing the diploma course you can take admission in the direct second year of the B.Tech course through the lateral entry entrance examination which is conducted by many government and private college. So, first clear all the backlog of the diploma course.

You can join B.Tech but before that you must clear the backlogs. Before that no college will offer you admission. Therefore please first clear your backlogs and only then apply for the admission in Bachelor of Technology.

Since you are diploma holder, the admission will be given under the Lateral Entry Scheme which means that all the following entrance exams are useless for you.

ISEET

MHA CET

UPSEE

BITSAT

IIT-JEE

These exams require candidate to have completed 12th standard. Diploma course is not considered equal to the 12th standard. Therefore these exams are off limits for you. So is the Indian Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technology.

Both these prestigious institutes do not offer admission through lateral entry. The option in front of you is Lateral Entry Engineering Test (LEET). This entrance exam is conducted for the diploma holders seeking lateral entry admission into Bachelor of Technology.

The candidate should have at least 60 percent marks in diploma to appear for Lateral Entry Engineering Test (LEET). After which you can take admission in B.Tech. There are however some colleges that conducts their separate entrance exam.

No, you cannot join B.Tech course having a backlog in Diploma in ECE course.

You will have to clear your pending backlogs.

Nice to see that you want to join the B.Tech course.

But currently you cannot join the same as there are active backlogs of you in Diploma Course.

And to be eligible to join the B.Tech course directly through lateral entry examination , you need to clear all your pending backlogs.

So , first clear all your backlogs and then you will get admission in B.Tech 2nd year directly through the Lateral Entry Examination.

Hai sir this rajzzz iam dce holder , but one problem sir since now i have attented my maths exam 7 times but it is not clearing . So is there chance to enter in betech.

Sir I have backed 1 sub I clear in 6 month. Can I join b tech. Directly with out write cet exam. Or any equivalent course are there for corresponding. Pls suggest me. I have no way.

* No! you are not eligible to get into b.tech with backlogs
* backlogs means you failed in subject , it doesn't matter 1or 2 or 3.

* You must complete your diploma with aggregate percentage (65%) , your are eligible then after you have to appear in entrance exams for LATERAL entry I.e, directly into 2nd year .

* Some colleges are there, they will not conduct entrance based on your percentage they offers admission even in some case they offers scholarship if you are merit ..

** Try to clear exams with atleast pass percentage , if doesn't then you have to face problems in future ..
Be careful .

I am BE-Information Science, I year all the subjects completed and 2 nd year 5 subjects backlog 3 rd year not given admission now, I am wasting 1 year what is the best related course in connection with BE Information Science, kindly update the same.

It is extremely sorry to say you that you can not do the B.E. course without completing your backlog.

BE is a bachelor degree course in the engineering section.The basic eligibility for this course is to have +2 course from PCM background Or, Diploma degree in engineering stream are also eligible to appear in this course.

One can get through the lateral entry scheme for the B.E. course.One can get the admission directly in the second year of engineering if he/she has successfully completed the diploma degree.

There are some colleges in Bangalore, mangalore and some other places where they are allowed to take the students having 2 to3 backlogs papers..📄
You can join there but the seat is little bit expensive.. 💰
