I want to become an I.A.S. officer. I am studying in xii. What should I do to achieve my ambition?

You need to be a graduate to apply for IAS. IAS comprises of three levels of exams.
Preliminary( Objective choice) optional papers, general studies
Mains(Subjective type) Optional papers, General Studies, Essay writing, English
Interview

This need intensive and extensive study of at least a year.First go through the syllabus available at book shops.

MY friend you need to be a graduate to apply for IAS........

You have to start reading books on General knowledge about Indian constitution, history, etc. These kind of premade books on the above said topics are available in stationary shops also. People even conduct training for IAS exams also. If you want you join in one such training centres.

You should be a graduate to apply for Civils Exam which is IAS/IPS exam.
I think you may even apply for the Civils Exam when you are in the final year of your graduation. You can be from any subject in your graduation. I suggest you to take Social Studies(Civics, History, Economics) in your graduation for better grip on the related subjects for the Civils Exam.

as you want be become an ias officer so first you have to complete your graduation,for your graduation you can choose any of the field you are intrested in ,then only you can apply for the ias exams.
so be patient and first do your garduation with atleast 60% marks,and the go for the ias exam.

really its very good that you want to be an I.A.S officer,
but for this you should have at least graduation degree in any of the subject,
then you have to fill the form of upsc...
and there wll be two exam,,,,
PT
and mains..
after qualifying both
you have to crosses to an interview..
so continue your study..........
and prepare well....

that a lot of hard work is mandatory for this exam if you are prepare from right now than its a very good decision...
after graduation or in the time of graduation you should prepare for I A S ....

hi friend............to become an I.A.S officer,u have to get the degree in any stream,ex-b.tch,b.sc,etc.....I.I.M university is for mangement studies like M.B.A.so u do b.tech after 12th,then u can apply for civils to become an I.A.S officer.

first you complete your graduation with your favorite subjects ..
there after you are eligible for IAS entrance exam...so
prepare well your own subjects ..read news paper daily..
take some coaching ...delhi is good for IAS preparation...

you cant go for IAS after 12th as for that you must have completed your graduation from any field so fist complete your graduation then apply for it...

Is all done though the same “UPSC held Civil Services” examination! This guide is written from the point of view of becoming an IAS officer. However, the procedure to become an IPS etc. officer is also the same!

If you are interested in becoming an IAS officer, you probably know what the IAS is all about and why becoming an IAS officer is a very good career option. However, just incase you do not know, let us give you some quick information on IAS!
If you become an IAS officer, you become part of the Indian Administrative Service. You will be part of the Govt. You can work from “the inside” and change “the system”

its good to see you you have make up your mind very early to take up the challenges.you must know that this exam is conducted by u.p.s.c. and it is toughest examination of india. for cracking it first of alll you have to complete your graduation.
and now i mgiving you some tips hope u will strictly follow this.
1.concertation and dedication is required
2you haveto burn your mid night oil for achieving this success
3 right from now you take treference of the book "competition success"and go through the successful students interview story it will help you a lot
4always try to read general knowledge book
5.noew appti part has also been included so dont forget that
6 after completing your graduation go to delhi and join rao,sI.A.S.study circle

there is no way that you can become an ias after 12th,you have to be an graduate to become an ias officer,
if you are really interested in becoming an ias officer then it will be better for you to take some thing easy subject in your graduation,
prepare really well and all the best

HI friends i am vinod gaur from kanpur i waste my 3 years for engineering preparation
i was good student in my school time in high school -70% & inter 75% PCM but
after that i came in coaching but i could not found my aim IIT n got 2 year for preparation
but in 2nd year i did not find good trade of engineering so now 3 is going on what can i do
i dont like now engineering but in my eyes there is so sweet dreams for my career plz help me

little more effort this time will lead you to a college which will become your dream.........
let me aware you of one thing....what you are learning and practicing in these coaching classes is all you have to do.....when you go to a college you will not have to study even 10% of what you have done..........

so concentrate more on studies....all will be welll............

i am 16 years old but still wish to become an ias officer
