My qualification is M.Sc.,M.E in computer science. Am i eligible for asst professor in engineering college?

Raj you are more then qualified for assistant professor in engineering colleges. In some colleges they dont considered the experience and based on the interview they directly enroll for the assistant professor.

If you want to be assistant professor in goventment colleges you have to write NET exam.

you are eligible for Assistant Professor post in engineering colleges.if you do your Phd then it will be a great advantage for you.there is a chance of your salary to be increased.you will also be given preference depending upon it and your experience.

I have passed M.Sc.(Maths), M.Sc(CS), Graduate of IE(I) in ECE and completed Ph.D. in Computer Science with more than 15 years of experience.
