Yeah sure, you are eligible to apply for IAS after completing BA/LLB course.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. To become an IAS officer you have to appear in Civil Service Exam.

The Cicil Service Examination is organized by UPSC every year to recruit candidate for IAS, IPS etc..

UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission


Eligibility Criteria for IAS:
====================

The candidate should have completed Graduation degree in any stream from recognized university.

The candidate if appearing in the final year/semester exam of above such program are also eligible.

The candidate's age should be in the age group of 21 to 30 years.

The candidate must have an Indian citizenship.

Civil Service Preliminary Exam Pattern:
================================

Preliminary Exam is also known as CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test) comprises of 2 compulsory papers of 200 Marks Each and is of 2 Hours duration,and contains 200 marks.

Paper I:
  • Current events of national and international importance
  • Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
  • Economic and Social Development %u2013 Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
  • General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change.
  • General Science.
  • History of India and Indian National Movement
  • Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic
  • geography of India and the World.
  • Indian Polity and Governance %u2013 Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public

Paper II:
  • Comprehension
  • General mental ability
  • Basic numeracy

Dear aspirant,
Yes you are eligible because you fulfils the basic eligibility criteria which is Graduation or a Bachlors degree from a recognised University, and the age condition is minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for UR, For more information please visit-www.upsc.gov.in.

Yes, you are eligible for IAS after completing B.A. and LL.B. provided you fulfill all the eligibility criteria.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree or pass or higher Degree from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate can apply for IAS.

Yes you are eligible for the exam as you have done your graduation so you can apply for the exam now also ..even you don't need to wait for the completion for the LLB.

Dear Friend

Yes,why not ,you are % eligible for the Civil services examinations as the minimum educational qualifications required for the this exams is bachelor's degree in any stream of your choice from a university that is recognized .

As you done bachelor's degree in arts and law so undoubtedly you are eligible for it.

The second most important eligibility criteria is that your age should be between 21-30 years .If you are from obc or sc/st category then you will have age relaxation of three years and five years respectively.

You must have Indian Citizenship.

After satisfying all these criteria ,if you interested in giving the civil services examinations this year you can fill online form at www.upsconline.nic.in

The important dates are as follows:

Date of notification:05/03/2013

Last date of receiving application:04/04/2013

Date of examination:26/05/2013.

The examination has three stages that are:

1.Preliminary stage

2.Main examinations.

If you clear these two stages then you will be called for the personal interview.

One important thing is that if you are from general category then you will get only four attempts .Obc candidates have seven attempts and SC/ST has no limit.

Yes, you are eligible for IAS after BA LLB provided you fulfill other eligibility criteria.

Yes , You are eligible for apply IAS exam after completing BA because it is one of the Graduation course

IAS - Indian Administrative Service

IAS exam is a one of the civil service exam

It is conducted by UPSC once a year

UPSC - Union Public Service Commission

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates must be

Citizen of India or

Subject of Nepal or

Subject of Bhutan

Age limit :

Candidates must have attained 21 years & not be over 30 years on August 1st of the year of Examination

The Upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as below :

Three years age relaxation for OBC candidates

Five years age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates

Educational Qualification :

Candidates should have any Degree from a recognized University

And also eligible final year appearing Candidates

B.A is sufficient to make you eligible for IAS Examination which is also known as Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC.

So don't worry and apply for it if you have completed your B.A from a recognised University.

The notifications was announced on March 5th and you can apply for it by visiting UPSC website http://www.upsconline.nic.in

Age Criteria for Civil Services Exam:

The age should be between 21 to 30 years if you are General Category. There is age relaxation available for other categories.

SC/ST Category - 5 years relaxation

OBC Category - 3 years relaxation

So if your age is according to the above criteria then no problem for you.

Examination Pattern:

The selection will be based on the 3 stages:

-CSAT

-Mains

-Interview

If you are in merit then you will be selected for IAS Officer post.

Number of Attempts:

General Category - 4 attempts

OBC Category - 7 attempts

SC/ST Category - No Restriction in Attempts
