  1. Some top engineering colleges in India do offer preference to sportspersons in the admission process. This is done as a recognition of their talent and to encourage students who excel in sports to pursue higher education. However, the eligibility criteria, selection process, and the weightage given to sports achievements can vary from college to college. It is advisable to check with the college you are interested in for specific details regarding their admission policy for sportspersons.
  2. In India, there is a provision for reservation for the children of Ex-Servicemen (Retired from Navy) in education and employment. As per the latest guidelines issued by the Government of India, children of Ex-Servicemen and War Widows are eligible for admission under the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) quota in various educational institutes, including engineering colleges. However, the exact reservation percentage may vary from institute to institute and state to state.
  3. Eligibility for NRI seats in college admission for children of NRIs can vary depending on the specific college and their admission policies. However, some colleges do consider children of NRIs eligible for NRI seats even if the child is studying in India and the father is the NRI.
  4. Generally, students studying under NRI quota may not be eligible for government jobs in India, but they may be eligible for private sector jobs. However, it's important to check the specific eligibility criteria for each job or institution.
  5. It depends on the policies of the specific college or university in question. Some institutions may consider students under NRI quota for general seats if they are Indian residents, while others may not.
  6. Generally, in such cases, the student may be eligible for the benefits of the quota that they fulfill the eligibility criteria for and are accepted under. It is best to check the admission policies of the specific institution in question to determine the benefits a student may receive if they apply for multiple quotas.

There is no sports quota in engineering entrance exams. Admission is only through your rank which you have got in entrance exam.

Well let me remind you other than gen, obc,sc,st,pwd, ews , there is no other extra quota in jee mains and also not in jee advanced. But you might get a reservation in colleges which may vary from 1% to 5%.
