Profile:

The National Rural Health Mission shortly called as NRHM was set up in 2005 with the motive to offer effective health care to the countryside people in India. The Mission mainly focuses its attention towards 18 states having weak public health indications. The tasks mentioned under the National Common Minimum Programme are effectively handled by the mission. It works hard to correct the planning of the health system. The main aims of the Mission are to reduce infant mortality rate, reduce maternal mortality ratio, provide immunization against childhood illnesses, prevent and control contagious and non-contagious diseases. The Mission is also responsible for preparing Panchayat level Health Action Plan for the health benefits of rural people. It offers various vacancies every year on a regular basis.
