Maharishi Dayanand University came into existence in the year 1976 through an act of Haryana Legislative Assembly as a teaching-cum-affiliating University. Initially, the university was offering courses only under the department of life sciences, but now it is offering education under 13 different faculties, 27 PG Departments running more than 77 educational courses. Apart from the main campus at Rohtak, the university has two other campuses at Gurgaon and Rewari. More than 125 colleges are affiliated to the university and most of these colleges are offering education under the faculties of pharmacy, law, bachelor of education, bachelor of physical education, management studies, engineering, etc… The detailed list of courses offered by Maharishi Dayanand University is given below:
