Structure of Mohanlal Sukhadia University Ph.D in Economics Entrance Exam

The entrance exam of Mohanlal Sukhadia University Ph.D in Economics includes two papers.  The total time allotted for the test is 2 and half hours. The first paper is an objective type test consisting of 50 questions. This paper is intended to measure the research aptitude of the candidate. The paper also cover questions on reasoning, English comprehension and general awareness.

Paper II is based on the topics of PG level Economics. This paper is again divided in to two sections. The first section includes 50 objective model questions and the second section includes essay model questions.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have passed PG degree in Economics or any equivalent degree are eligible to apply for the entrance test. They should have obtained the qualification from a recognized educational institution with minimum 55% marks. SC/ST candidates require only 50% marks to apply for the test. Those who possess adequate score in UGC/CSIR NET (JRF)/M.Phil Examination etc are exempted from the entrance test. The candidate should obtain 40 marks in each paper to pass the entrance test. SC/ST candidates require 35 marks (in each paper) only to pass the test.

How to Apply?

The application form for Ph.D in Economics course can be obtained from the official website of the University. The candidate should fill up the application and submit the same through the official web portal. Then the print out of the application submitted must be sent to the address of “Controller, MLSU, Udaipur” . The same must be sent either through registered post or can be submitted directly at the University office.  The candidate should also submit a DD of Rs. 500/- along with the printed copy of application. SC/ST candidates required to have a DD amount of Rs. 250/- only.

• Sent the printed copy of application through registered post or directly
• Enclose the DD along with the same
• Don’t forget to upload the online application form with a scanned photograph. The size of the same must be less than 200kb.
