• Bio methanol Conversion from Sugar Beet Pulp with Pectin Methyl Esterase

This project deals with the study of renewable bio methanol from sugar beet pulp with PME. Based on potassium permanganate assay an analytical method for methanol and PME is developed.

• Phosphorus retention in a constructed wetland – the role of sediment accretion

In this project, a wetland is investigated with respect to phosphorus retention. The study is mainly focused on the major reactions - sedimentation and sediment accretion. The project helps in the calculation of phosphorus retention (Pin – Pout). It also helps to find out where in the wetland the phosphorus has accumulated, and in what form it is retained.

• Bioethanol Fuel Production From Rambutan Waste

The project helps to estimate the possibility of the use of waste rambutan to obtain bioethanol through the process of fermentation. The technique used in the project is Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The project helped to conclude that ethanol production increases with the increase of fermentation time.
