NIT-Kurukshetra 2011 MBA
National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra holds admission process for the two year post graduation based management course. NIT-Kurukshetra was established in the year 1963 and has established milestones on the technical based education ever since. The Institute started to offer the course of MBA in the year 2006 with an input capacity of a total of 80 seats. The Institute ever since has dedicated most of its fund in order o develop the Management teaching staff and related infrastructural facilities that will provide an edge to the candidates. The Institute also offers excellent placement opportunities to its candidates.
The Institute short lists the name of candidates for preliminary selection by assessing the marks of the CAT score of the Individual candidates. There is also an option to apply for the course separately in the Institute. The Candidates, who are short listed, are then offered further round of selection which include the stages of Group Discussion as well as Personal interview. Only after assessing the marks obtained by the candidates in all of the stages of selection, the final selection is done. The Institute therefore has established recognition for itself in the management based education sector.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.
Availability of Application forms:
The application forms for NIT-Kurukshetra can be downloaded through the website www.nitkkr.ac.in. Candidates have to send the completed application form along with a demand draft, copies of certain documents and CAT score card.
Important Dates:
• Last date of submitting completed application forms: Mid-week of April, 2011
Selection process:
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview after which the final selections are made.

MBA Program @ NIT Kkr is yet to follow pace because the level at which an avergae B school works has not yet been attained. So, it is advisable to all the aspirants to rather go for other private institutions or try for a good B School next year. Placements have been quite depressing and degrading over the years, which is a result of Placement Department Malfunctioning, a serious disorder with MBA @ NIT Kkr. So guys…. be aware…. !!!
