Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 27, which is divided as follows:

• Officer Scale III – 01 (General)

• Office Assistant – 26

Pay Scale: Officer Scale III will come under the pay brand of Rs.25700-800/5-29700-900/2-31500 and Officer Assistants will come under the pay brand of Rs. 7200 – 400/3 – 8400 – 500/3 – 9900 – 600/4 – 12300– 700/7 – 17200– 1300/1– 18500 – 800/1-19300. Therefore, total monthly emoluments would be approximately Rs.40800/- for Officer Scale III position and Rs.11400/- for office assistant position.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification:

Officer Scale III: Candidates must have completed their degree in any discipline with not less than 50% of aggregate marks. Preference will be given to candidates with degree/diploma in disciplines like agriculture, accountancy, horticulture, economics, forestry, law, animal husbandry, management, veterinary science, information technology, agricultural engineering, agricultural marketing & co-operation, information technology, marketing, finance, banking and pisciculture.

Office Assistant: Candidates must be degree holders from a recognized university in any discipline with proficiency in Punjabi Language and should have passed Punjabi as a subject at the senior school certificate or matriculation or graduation level, desirably candidates must possess computer knowledge.

Age: Officer Scale III - Below 40 years as on 30th of September 2011

Office Assistants – Between 18 and 28 years as on 30th of September 2011

Selection Procedure:

Written test followed by interview will be the criteria for selection of candidates, marks allotted for the written test is 70, while for interview it is 30. The written test is fixed to be conducted on 08th of January 2012 for Officer Scale III position and on the 18th of December 2011 for the position of Office Assistant. For the position of Officer Scale III, candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs.500, which is non-refundable and inclusive of postal charges and SC/ST candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.100, which is postal charges alone. For the position of Office Assistant, candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs.400, which is non-refundable and inclusive of postal charges and SC/ST candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.100, which is postal charges alone.
