Master of Science in Plant Science is a two year course which focuses on advanced level of studies in topics such as Angiosperm Taxonomy, Bryology, Cell Biology and Plant Biochemistry and Gymnosperms. University of Calicut, Pondicherry University and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohil Khand University are some of the reputed institutes that offer M.Sc in Plant Science. Graduation in Botany with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate is the basic educational qualification required for this course. Those who have completed this course can work as plant Scientist, Forester, etc.

Jadavpur University offers under graduate as well as post graduate courses in various faculty such as Arts, Science and Engineering and Technology Courses. Admission to under graduate courses in Arts and Science subjects is based on the marks obtained in qualifying exams. Admission to B.Tech courses is carried out on the basis of AIEEE/ ISEET / WB-JEE exams. The University considers GATE/ IIT-JEE exams for the admission to M. Tech programmes.

Recruitment of Junior Engineers under Ministry of Railways is done on the basis of scores of obtained in written test, document verification and medical test conducted by Railway Recruitment Board. Diploma holders in the age group of 18-33 years are eligible to apply. Candidates can apply for the exam through online or by post. The examination fee is Rs. 60/-.
Candidates who have completed Graduation in any discipline are eligible to apply for UPSC Assistant Commandant Exam. Those who are between the age group of 20 to 25 years are eligible to apply for this post. Application for the exam can be done online through the official website of UPSC. Candidates are required to pay Rs. 200/- as application fees.
UPSC conducts a written exam for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant’s to Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). There will be two papers for this written exam. Paper I will have questions on General Ability and General Intelligence where as Paper II is related to Essay, General Studies, and Comprehension.
