Higher Secondary education in science stream with Biology as a subject is the minimum educational qualification required for admission. Admission process is done through national level entrance exams such as All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT), All India Common Entrance Examination (AICEE), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University Entrance Test, etc. After completing Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent), candidates are required to register with State Veterinary Council so as to start practicing as professional ‘Veterinary Doctor’.
