Recruitment of teachers in school approved by Central Board of Secondary Education is carried out on the basis of common entrance exam, called Central Teacher Eligibility Test. A pass in higher secondary examination with 50 % marks along with Diploma in Elementary Education is the minimum eligibility for this exam. The exam is conducted separately for Primary stage and Elementary Stage
Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Medical College, Kesarsal Medical College and Research Institute and M P Shah Medical College are some of the well known colleges that offer M B B S course in Gujarat. Admission to the course is carried out in the basis of scores obtained in state level entrance exam called, Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET).

Kurukshetra University offers B.Ed course through regular as well as distance education mode. Graduates with a minimum of 50% marks can seek admission to the course on the basis of merit. Total Fee for the course in government aided colleges is Rs. 12,000/- where as that for self financing colleges is Rs. 44,000/-. Tuition fee for the course in distance education mode is Rs. 10,000/- per annum.
