Modern College of Engineering, etc are some of the pioneer institutions offering M.E course in Mechanical engineering in Maharashtra. Admission to the course is done on the basis of GATE/entrance test conducted by the concerned college. Selected candidates must pay tuition fees of Rs. 94285/- in MIT College of Engineering. In Cummins College of Engineering for Women tuition fees amounts to Rs. 64,750/- per semester.

Fees structure for M.Tech course may vary slightly with each National Institute of Technology (NIT) campus that offers the course. Total fee for the course in NIT, Tiruchirappalli is Rs.21, 850/- per semester and that in NIT, Hamirpur is Rs. 24,500/- per semester. B.Tech in Bioinformatics, B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech in Biotechnology, etc are some of the UG level engineering courses offered in VIT University. M.Tech courses are offered in streams of Automotive Engineering, Software Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Sensor System Technology, and so on. Tuition fee for B.Tech programs amounts to Rs. 89,000/- per annum.
