Candidates having qualifications such as MBBS, B.E/B.Tech, or B.V.Sc can apply for M.Sc (Bioinformatics) in Pune University. Selection of eligible candidates is made on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the University. Topics like English Language, Logical Reasoning, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, and Genetics are asked for the entrance test. Application for attending the entrance test can be submitted online through the web site of Pune University.

Selection process for Data Entry Operator consist of a written test and skill test and that for Lower Division Clerk includes written test and typing test on Computer. Written test comprises of objective model questions from topics of English Language, General Awareness, General Intelligence, and Quantitative Aptitude.

Candidates having obtained at least 55% marks in master’s degree and 50% marks in bachelor’s degree are eligible for Ph.D course in Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU). Admission process is done on the basis of an entrance test and interview conducted by the university. Written test is conducted for 100 marks and interview for 50 marks. In order to get through the screening process, candidates should obtain at least 50% marks in written test and 45% marks in interview.
