Kalyani is a city located in the district of Nadia in the Indian state of West Bengal. The city is a part of the area coming under the jurisdiction of the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority. In the year 2004, the Municipality of Kalyani earned the best municipality award with Ingrejbajar Municipality of Malda District and Durgapur Municipality of Burdwan District in the state of West Bengal. DTP operators are the trained professionals who make use of Desk Top Publishing (DTP) software for enhancing the features of various print media like books, journals, magazines etc. They will obtain the design of the publication from the client or designer and uses the software to produce the layout of each page according to that design. They will select the font, column width, color and spacing according to the design. They are also responsible for producing graphics like diagrams, charts and tables. They make sure whether the images are placed near the concerned text. They use the Hyper Text Mark-up Language (HTML) to convert the documents to internet-ready format. DTP operators thus design various publications electronically to make it attractive and easy to read.

Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test: JEMAT is a common entrance exam for the admission to various management courses like MBA, MHA, MMA, PGDM, PGDM (executive) and PGCM. The exam is conducted by West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). There are about thirty five management institutions and colleges in West Bengal which take the result of JEMAT for the admission of MBA programs. Candidates who clear the test will have to face a group discussion followed by an interview as the final step of admission process.
