Manav Rachna International University is a co-education private university operating from the state of Haryana with its campus at Faridabad near the capital city of the country. The university was previously working under the Maharishi Dayanand University as Career Institute of Technology and Management and with this name the institute came into existence in the year 1997. Later in the academic year 2008-09, the institute earned the status of Deemed University thereby changing its name as MR International University. Later in the year 2008, the university was converted as full-fledge university according to Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956. In the state of Haryana, there was an institution called Faridabad Institute of Technology that came into existence in the year 2000 and this institution was merged with Manav Rachna International University.
