Lingaya’s University is a co-education university functioning under private ownership from the Indian state of Haryana. Before being established as university, the institution was functioning in the name of Lingaya’s Institute of Management and Technology under the affiliation of the Maharishi Dayanand University. The university came into existence with its previous name in the year 1998 and it earned the status of deemed university from the academic year 2009-10 thereby changing its name as Lingaya’s University. Later in the same year 2009, the university was converted as a full-fledged university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
