Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) is a pioneer institute that offers various UG and PG courses related to science and technology. B.Tech courses are offered in subjects like civil engineering, mechanical engineering and metallurgical & materials engineering. M.Sc (chemistry), M.Tech (Communication System Engineering),M.Tech (VLSI Design), etc are some of the PG level courses offered. Valid score in entrance test like AIEEE, GATE, and IIT JAM is considered for admission to these courses.
Mathematics graduates can seek admission to M. Sc. (Mathematics) in Pune University by qualifying an entrance exam. Marks obtained in entrance test as well as qualifying degree are considered for admission. Selected students must study topics like Complex Analysis, Mechanics, Algebraic Topology, and Hydrodynamics under the course. The University charges different fees for students of Maharashtra, students outside Maharashtra, and foreign nationals. Tuition fee for Maharashtra domicile students is Rs. 1250/- per annum and that for students outside Maharashtra is Rs. 2500/- per annum.
Sitram Jindal Scholarship is mainly awarded for students in three categories, Category A - BPL Students, Category B - ITI Students, and Category C - General Students. Graduate or Post Graduates are generally considered for scholarships. Those candidates who have completed part time courses cannot avail the benefits of scholarships.
An online application format is followed to apply for Technical Assistant post in Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). As part of this, application fee of Rs 300/- should be paid in any of SBI branches. After depositing fees, candidates need to fill in the application forms correctly with all details specified and submit the same online. On submitting the application form, the system will generate a registration slip which should be sent with other requisite documents to the concerned address. St. Xavier’s College organizes entrance examination to select candidates for Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) courses. It is essential to clear 12th class with a minimum of 60% from any of the recognized boards to apply for any of the courses. The entrance exam pattern includes a single paper covering both objective and subjective type of questions. On clearing written exam with at least 60% marks, a Personal Interview will be organized as a final selection procedure.

Shri Ramachandra College of Engineering offers B.E courses in streams like mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and telecommunication engineering. It is essential to pass 12th class in science stream by opting Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects to join these courses. Apart from this, diploma qualified candidates in engineering can also join B.E courses through lateral entry. Selection process is done on the basis of common entrance examinations such as AIEEE or MHT-CET.

There is a placement office functioning at SCMS School of Engineering and Technology to organize and co ordinate the major placement activities of the institute. Aptitude based training, soft skill training, personality development programmes, Career development programs and technical domain based training (in areas such as C, C++, Computer Aided Design and .NET Survey practice) are some of the activities organized by the placement committee. TCS, Infosys Technologies, Syntel Limited, Ernst &Young, ISRO and IBS Software Solutions, are some of the companies visited the college for placement during previous years.

The Department of School Education, Government of Punjab organizes Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) to recruit candidates to teacher positions in schools under the state Government of Punjab. This test is conducted to recruit qualified candidates for teacher posts in 2 different class levels such as – Classes I –V and Classes VI –VIII. The eligibility criteria for teaching posts for two class levels are different.
Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management (JBIMS), Mumbai offers part - time and full –time courses in different disciplines. Master in Management Studies (MMS) is the specific full –time course offered in JBIMS. Some of the part- time courses offered in JBIMS are - Masters in Financial Management (MFM), Masters in Information Management (MIM), and Master in Marketing Management (MMM). The eligibility criteria for part - time and full – time courses will differ. Selection process will comprise of – Common entrance test, GD and Personal Interview.
