College of Engineering, Trivandrum was the first engineering college in Kerala, established in 1939. This prominent college offers UG courses like B.Arch, B.Tech in Industrial Engineering, and B.Tech in Civil Engineering. M. Tech in Control Systems, M. Tech in Geo-informatics, M. Tech in Industrial Engineering, M. Tech in Signal Processing, etc are some of the PG level courses offered. Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT – Guwahati) offers different types of scholarship programs for students. Some of the top scholarship programs offered are - Institute Merit Scholarship (IMS), Indian Women’s Association, Bonn (IWAB) Scholarship, Institute Merit-cum-Means (McM) Scholarship and SC-ST Scholarships. B.Tech (Engineering Physics) is rare and demanded course offered at IIT, Guwahati. Engineering techniques along with physics and applied physics are included under the course curriculum. Semiconductor Devices, Biophysics, Computational Physics, Engineering Optics, Solid State Physics, etc are some of the main subjects included under the syllabus. Tuition fee for pursuing the course amounts to Rs. 25,000/- per semester. Total fee for each semester (except first semester) amounts to Rs. 28,850/-.
There are different graduate and post graduate courses in cardiology and some of the main courses are -Doctor of Medicine in Cardiology (D.M), Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Exams in Cardiology (D.N.B), Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Cardiology (PGDCC), and Post Graduate Diploma in Community Cardiology. The top institutes which offer cardiology courses are Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Dr. N.T.R University of Health Sciences, Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, National Heart Institute and Research Centre, Apollo Institute of Hospital Management and Allied Science, and Christian Medical College.
Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) offers M.Sc courses in various streams like Oceanography, Biopolymer Science, Statistics, Electronic Science, Meteorology, Hydrochemistry, Mathematics, Instrumentation, Marine Geology, Marine Biology, Environmental Technology and Biotechnology. Fee structure varies with course. Tuition fee for M.Sc in Hydrochemistry amounts Rs. 4000/- where as that for M.Sc in Physics is Rs. 1500/-.
Osmania University Common Entrance Test (OUCET) for M.Sc (Electronics) is conducted for science graduates who have studied mathematics and electronics in graduation. The test is conducted in objective model. Digital Electronics, Combinational and Sequential circuits, Microcomputer and Microprocessor, Circuit Analysis and Electronic Devices, and Analog Circuits and Communications are the main topics included under the exam syllabus.
VIT offers M.Tech course in different disciplines such as Structural Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and CAD/CAM. Admission to the course is done through an entrance exam followed by personnel interview. An entrance exam called VITMEE (VIT’s Masters Entrance Examination) is conducted for the purpose. Those who clear VIT MEE will be short listed for personnel interview.

Those meritorious sports persons who have taken part in any of the competitions at state, national and international level or inter state tournaments can apply for constable position Kolkata Police. Candidates need to take part in any of games such as wrestling, weight lifting, volley ball, tennis, table tennis, swimming; or rifle shooting to apply. Eligible candidate must have completed Madhyamik examination conducted by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. The selection process for constable post includes – physical measurement test, physical efficiency test, written test and personal interview.
