Fresh B.E/B.Tech graduates in streams like IT, CSE, EEE and EIE are usually preferred for campus placement in KPIT Cummins . Apart from this, BCA and MCA graduates are also eligible to apply for the same. B.Sc or M.Sc graduates in streams like Information Technology or Computer Science can also take part in this placement process. It is necessary to obtain at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam. The detailed placement process includes an aptitude based written exam, GD (optional) and Personal Interview.

This entrance examination is conducted for selecting candidates for M.Sc and MCA courses. Science graduates having studied mathematics as a subject in 12th class level can apply for MCA course whereas graduates in Computer Science can apply for M.Sc (Computer Science). The entrance examination includes objective model questions from subject areas like – general aptitude, mathematics and English language.

Association of Management Schools (AIMS) Test for Management Studies (ATMA) is organized with an objective to select eligible candidates to post graduate courses in management such as PGDM, PDBA, MBA, and MCM. It is possible for students to appear for this test either via online or offline /paper based model. Objective model questions from topics like analytical reasoning, verbal ability and quantitative ability will be asked for the test. A total of 180 questions need to be completed in 3 hours. Applications can be submitted online through the website of AIMS.

For all the three Managerial positions candidates can directly attend a GD, psychometric test and personal interview as part of selection. For other posts, it is compulsory to clear a written exam first followed by GD, psychometric test and personal interview. The written exam will cover questions from subject areas like – Reasoning, English language, Professional knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude and GK. The tentative date to submit online applications is 23rd April, 2013.
