Marine Engineering courses like B.Sc(Marine Engineering), B.E (Marine Engineering), and B.Tech(Naval Architecture and Ship Building) are offered at graduate level. M.E/M.Tech courses are offered in subjects like Marine Engineering, Marine Engineering Mechanical Handling, Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture. B.E or B.Tech degree in Biotechnology is the basic qualification required for M.Tech (Biotechnology) course. In Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), candidates with bachelor degree in Bio Technology, Bio medical Engineering, or Pharmacy can apply. Admission in most cases is done on the basis of GATE score. Other entrance test like Lovely Professional University National Engineering Aptitude Test, Integral University Entrance test and VIT –Masters Entrance Examination are also conducted for selection.

For Assistant Manager (Civil) post, applicant must be an engineering graduate in civil engineering. Offline mode of application submission is scheduled. As part of the selection process, candidates need to attend written examination and personnel interview organized by the institute. Graduates in streams of science, engineering, or computer application can apply for NIMCET 2013, till April 16. The exam comprises questions from topics like mathematics, analytical ability, and General English. Applications can be submitted online through the website of NIMCET. Applicants are allotted with test centers in cities such as Calicut, Surathkal, Jamshedpur, and Raipur. Qualified candidates in NIMCET can seek admission to NIT’s in cities like Bhopal, Durgapur, Kurukshetra, Warangal, and Agartala.
Diploma holders, having obtained the qualification from any of the recognized institutes (under State board of Technical Education) can seek admission to B.Tech in Kerala through lateral entry. Selection is done through a written test that comprises questions on civil engineering, electrical engineering and mathematics. At least 15% marks in entrance exam are required to attend the further allotment process conducted by Director of Technical Education. Applications for attending the test can be submitted online through the website of directorate of technical education, Kerala before 25th May, 2013.
