Punjab Agricultural University offers graduate/post graduate courses like B.Tech in Food Technology, B.Sc in Agriculture/Nutrition and Dietetics, Integrated M.Sc in Microbiology/Zoology/Chemistry, M.Sc in Microbiology/Plant Breeding & Genetics, M.Tech in Computer Science/Civil Engineering, MBA, and MCA. Admission for most of all the courses will be through common entrance exams. Candidates must qualify Management Entrance Test (MET) to join for MBA. On the other hand, for admission to M.Sc and MCA courses, one should clear Masters Entrance Test conducted by the University.

M.Tech (Biomedical engineering) provides detailed study on topics like biomedical signal processing and analysis, biomedical image processing, and advanced biomaterials. Colleges accepting GATE score in Tamil Nadu are scattered over different cities. Anyhow, Chennai and Coimbatore are the cities where majority of such colleges are located. Colleges like Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research, Dr. M.G.R. Engineering College and Madras Institute of Technology are located in Chennai. Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Karunya Institute of Technology, PSG College of Technology, etc are some of the colleges accepting GATE score in Coimbatore. Other institutes like Regional Power Training Institute, Neyveli, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli and Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, also accepts GATE score in Tamil Nadu.

Candidates having completed HSC course with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to join for B.A, LLB (Hons) course in National Law University (NLU). Admissions are done on the basis of an entrance exam called ‘All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)’ and marks obtained in qualifying exam. Candidates need to score at least 40% marks in AILET to seek admission. The tuition fees for B.A, LLB (Hons) course is fixed as Rs.42, 500/- per semester.

Even though, IIT JEE and IIT JAM will look similar, there are certain key differences between these two exams. IIT JEE is conducted for 12th passed candidates who are interested to seek admission for B.E/B.Tech/Integrated M.Tech in IIT’s. IIT JAM, on the other hand, is conducted for science graduates who would like to have admission to M.Sc courses in IIT’s. IIT JEE is conducted in two stages where as IIT JAM is conducted as a single paper test.
