Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted for selection of candidates to under graduate and post graduate courses in law. The exam is conducted for admission to under graduate courses like B.A LL.B, BBA LL.B, B.Com LL.B and B.S.W LL.B. Candidates having completed HSC or equivalent course with a minimum of 45% marks can apply. Age of the applicant must be less than 20 years. CLAT for UG courses comprise questions on Mathematics, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English Language and current affairs.

Colleges like Akula Sree Ramulu College of Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Warangal, Sarada Institute of Technology and Science and Nizam Institute of Engineering and Technology are located in the state. Basantika Institute of Engineering & Technology is an AICTE approved, polytechnic institution affiliated to the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. Admission to the diploma courses offered at the institute is done on the basis of JEXPO score or management quota decisions. JEXPO candidates need to pay Rs. 9000/- per semester as tuition fee where as others (candidates obtained admissions through management quota) must pay a tuition fee of Rs. 15,000/- per semester.
