Candidates interested in higher studies after LL.B can look for higher study courses like LL.M in Mercantile Law, LL.M in Intellectual Property Laws, M.A in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Master of Comparative Law (in India). Osmania University, Delhi University, National Law University, etc are some of the reputed institutes offering such courses in India. International Universities like Singapore Management University, Durham University and Victoria University also offer master degree courses in law. Students can pursue courses such as LL.M in International Commercial Law, LL.M in Commercial Law and LL.M in International Business Law from these Universities.
IIT JAM (Biotechnology) comprises of questions from subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Biology and mathematics. Questions for Chemistry and Biology will be based on the topics covered from 10th till graduation and that for Physics and Mathematics from 10th and 12th. Reference books such as Organic Chemistry by Bahl and Bahl, Biochemistry by Lubert Stryer, General Microbiology by R. Y. Stanier, Concepts of Physics by H. C. National Institute of Technology offers M.Tech courses in a variety of subjects like Thermal Turbo Machinery, Control System Engineering, Power System Engineering, Air Conditioning and Heat Transfer. Admissions are offered for GATE qualified and sponsored category candidates. For GATE qualified candidates, tuition fee per semester is Rs. 17,500/-. But for sponsored category candidates, the tuition fee amounts to Rs. 25,000/- per semester. Caution deposit, development fee, admission processing fee, etc must be remitted only one time, at the time of admission.
Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is conducted for admission to graduate and business schools in U.S or other English speaking countries. The exam which is conducted in paper based and computer based formats. There have been quite a few revisions in test structure and pattern from 2011 onwards. According to the current pattern, there are questions on verbal ability, quantitative reasoning and analytical writing. In analytical writing, there will be questions related to an issue or argument where as in quantitative reasoning there will be questions on numerical ability, data interpretation, etc. Verbal reasoning includes questions on reading comprehension, text completion and sentence equivalence.
Malnad College of Engineering affiliated to the University of Mysore offers B.Tech and M.Tech courses in various technical streams. Admission to B.Tech courses in subjects like Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, and Instrumentation Technology are done on the basis of KCET. Candidates with adequate GATE score can seek admission to M.Tech courses.

Admission to various teacher training institutions in the state of Rajasthan is done through Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET). Graduates from any of the recognized Universities with a minimum of 50% marks can apply. PTET is an objective model test comprising questions on mental ability, teaching attitude, general awareness and language proficiency. Application forms for attending PTET can be collected from their office by paying application fee of Rs. 400/-.

Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) University offers M.Phil course in a variety of subjects like Zoology, Microbiology, Political Science, Sociology and Horticulture. Master degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 55% marks is the basic qualification required. Eligible candidates should qualify the entrance test conducted by the University. Tuition fee for the course is Rs. 240/- per year.
