Diploma holders as well as candidates who have completed the first year of engineering degree can seek admission to B.Tech in Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) via lateral entry. Through this scheme, candidate has the option to join directly to the second year of engineering degree. Lateral entry admissions are offered in subjects like Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Bio Technology. Dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) admissions are also possible through lateral entry. Admissions are done on the basis of candidate’s performance in entrance test that comprise of questions on Physics, Chemistry and the subject area of specialization.

AMET University offers under graduate courses in subjects like Nautical Science, Petroleum Engineering, Shipping and Harbour Engineering & Ocean Engineering. Generally 12th passed students with an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can seek admission to most of the courses. Admission will be done after written test, personnel interview and medical examination.

National Creativity Aptitude Test or NCAT is an initiative of IFEHE to identify talented students with creative skills. NCAT is conducted in two rounds. First round is a written test comprising of questions in mathematics, English language and Logical Reasoning . Second round includes written test, subjective type questions and an activity test.

Selection is done on the basis of written exam and interview. Written exam comprises questions on topics such as Genomics, Immunology, Biology of Microbes and Fermentation Technology. Applications can be sent through online or postal method.
Semester fee for B.Tech courses in subjects like Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Production & Industrial Engineering amounts to Rs. 55,000/-. Fee for M.Tech (Agriculture Engineering) is to Rs. 19,000/- per semester. In case of M.Tech in Bioinformatics it is up to is Rs. 35,000/- per semester.
