Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) was established on July 24, 1998 under the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998. The commission was established as a statutory body functioning under Section 76 of the Electricity Act 2003. The major objective of the commission is to promote competition, efficiency and economy in bulk power markets and also to improve the quality of supply. The commission is responsible to improve the operations and management of the regional transmission systems through Indian Electricity Grid Code.

Maximum age limit set for the posts of Private Secretary is 56 years.
Educational Qualification:
Candiates are required to have done degree from a recognized institute or university for applying for the position of Private Secretary.
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available for the position of Private Secretary.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 will be given to the selected candidates.
Selection process:
The final selection for the posts of Private Secretary will be made strictly on the basis of candidate’s performance in the personal interview session.
