Regulatory Officer, Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission
Profile:
Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission was established under the Electricity Regulatory Commission Act, 1998. The commission was incorporated on August 5, 1999. The major objective or aim behind the establishment of the commission was to promote competition and efficiency in the power sector while protecting the interests of the consumers and other stakeholders. The two major functionality of the commission includes determining of the tarrif for generation and transmission of electricity within the state and also facilitating intra state transmission of electricty.
Job Profile:
Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission is recruiting eligible candidates on the posts of Regulatory Officer (Technical/Finance/Renewable Energy) initially for a contract period of one years. But good performance of the candidates at the service can extend the contract period for a further period of two more years.
1. Recruitment of Regulatory Officer (Technical):
Educational Qualification: Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering from a recognized university is the minimum educational qualification required for the post. Candidates having Post Gradaute degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems or two years MBA in Finance Management or Power management from AICTE approved university can also apply for the respective post.
2. Recruitment of Regulatory Officer (Finance):
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is the minimum educational qualification required for the post. Candidates having CA or ICWA or Chartered Financial Analyst or two years MBA in Finance from AICTE approved university/institute can also apply for the respective post.
3. Recruitment of Regulatory Officer (Renewable Energy):
Educational Qualification: B.E. or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering from a recognized university is the minimum educational qualification required for the post. Candidates having M.E. or M.Tech in Energy Science and Engineering or Power Systems can also apply. Candidates, who have done electrical engineering with two years MBA in Finance Management or Power management from AICTE approved university can also apply for the respective post.
Age Limit:
Candidates should not be more than 35 years of age. Candidates, who are having age more than prescribed maximum age limit set for the post, should not apply. Any application recieved from uneligible candidates will be discarded straightaway by the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Selection Process:
Only a personal interview test with the selection committee constitutes the whole selection process for the specified posts of Regulatory Officer in Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission. Candidates should qualify in this personal interview test for getting selected on the respective post in Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission.
